Relationship Counselling
When your relationship is struggling, talking to someone who understands can help. Get support to communicate better, resolve conflict, and reconnect.
Understanding Relationship Difficulties
All relationships go through difficult times. You might be arguing constantly, feeling disconnected, struggling to communicate, or dealing with trust issues. Perhaps you're facing a specific challenge like infidelity, or you've simply grown apart and don't know how to reconnect.
Sometimes relationship problems are obvious—big arguments, betrayals, or major disagreements. Other times, it's more subtle—feeling lonely even when you're together, avoiding difficult conversations, or just feeling like something's not right.
Whatever you're facing, seeking help is a sign of strength, not failure. Relationship counselling can help you understand what's happening, communicate more effectively, and work towards the relationship you want.
How Relationship Counselling Can Help
Improve Communication
Learn to express your needs and feelings more clearly, and really listen to your partner. Break cycles of misunderstanding and conflict.
Resolve Conflict
Develop healthier ways to handle disagreements. Learn to argue constructively rather than destructively.
Rebuild Trust
Work through betrayals or breaches of trust. Understand what happened and decide how to move forward, whether together or apart.
Reconnect
Rediscover what brought you together. Find ways to feel close again and rebuild intimacy and connection.
What to Expect from Sessions
Your first session is a chance to talk about what's been happening in your relationship and what you'd like to work on. Your counsellor will help create a safe space where both partners can be heard.
In ongoing sessions, you'll explore patterns in your relationship, practice new ways of communicating, and work through specific issues. Your counsellor will help you understand each other better and find ways to improve your relationship.
Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place by phone or video call. This means you can have your session from home, which can feel more comfortable and private than travelling to an office.

Common Questions
What is relationship counselling?
Relationship counselling helps you work through difficulties in your relationship, whether that's communication problems, conflict, trust issues, or feeling disconnected. It provides a safe space to talk about what's not working and find ways to improve your relationship.
Do we both need to attend?
While couples counselling works best when both partners attend, individual counselling can still help you work through relationship issues, understand patterns, and decide what you want to do next.
Can counselling save our relationship?
Counselling can help you communicate better, understand each other, and work through difficulties. Sometimes this leads to a stronger relationship, and sometimes it helps you make clearer decisions about your future. Either way, it can provide clarity and support.
Is it too late for counselling?
It's never too late to seek support. Whether you're facing a crisis or want to improve a generally good relationship, counselling can help at any stage.
