Evolving Minds is a Community Interest Company (CIC) providing accessible, affordable counselling by phone and video across the UK. A placement with us gives trainee counsellors the opportunity to build practical, supervised experience supporting real clients remotely, as part of an organisation whose mission is making mental health support accessible to all.
Who Can Apply
We're looking for trainees who are:
- Currently in their second year of counselling training
- Committed to inclusive, culturally sensitive practice
- Comfortable delivering therapy by phone or video
- Passionate about making mental health support accessible
How an Online Placement Works
Because Evolving Minds operates entirely remotely, your placement is delivered the same way our client sessions are - by phone or video call, rather than in person. That means you can gain practical counselling experience without needing to be based near a physical office.
Supporting Evolving Minds Clients
On placement, you'd be supporting adults aged 18 and over from across the UK, accessing affordable, confidential counselling by phone or video. Clients come to us for support with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, and relationship difficulties - you can read more about the client-facing side of what we do on our Services and About pages.
Supervision and Support
You won't be working alone. Trainees on placement have access to ongoing training and supervision as part of their placement.
